The Yamaska Literacy Council partnered with the Pettes Memorial Library and the Knowlton Lions’ Club to develop the literacies collection.

The collection was developed with the recognition that there are multiple literacies (print, visual, digital, etc.).  We all have different literacy challenges, whether it’s decoding text, trying to use a new tablet, or understanding nutrition labels.

The collection emphasizes Canadian content, and includes the  Good Reads Series, one of which was written by Louise Penny… and features Inspector Gamache in Three Pines!

Drop by the library and explore this exciting new literacies collection! You are sure to find something to add to your summer reading list.

If you have a suggestion for materials that you would like to see added, call YLC at 450-263-7503 or send us an email at
